Clothes cut to
one person's measure.

We make custom suits and kaftans by hand — measured, cut, basted and finished in the shop. Nothing here is bought off a rail. You come in, we take your measurements, we talk about cloth and cut, and a few weeks later you wear something that only fits you.

Two-piece suits

A suit starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. We ask what it's for — a wedding, a court appearance, a graduation, a Tuesday at the office — because that decides almost everything: how much shoulder we build, how much room the jacket gives you across the back, whether the trouser breaks once or not at all.

Then we measure. Roughly twenty numbers, taken standing and seated, because a jacket that looks right standing still can pull badly the moment you sit down. We cut a paper pattern from those numbers and keep it. Your pattern lives in the shop, so the second suit is faster and the fit is already solved.

Expect a basted fitting before anything is finished — the jacket held together with loose stitching so you can feel where it needs to move. That's the fitting that matters. We adjust, then finish by hand: buttonholes, lining, the small things nobody notices until they're wrong.

Kaftans

Kaftans are the other half of what we do, and they're a different craft. The cut is generous and the cloth does the work — so the decisions are about drape, length, and how the embroidery sits against the body when you move.

We make them for weddings, for naming ceremonies, for Koriteh and Tobaski, and for everyday wear in a cloth that breathes. Plain, or with hand-work at the neckline and cuffs. We'll show you what we have in the shop and talk honestly about what suits the occasion.

Because a kaftan is worn loose, the fit conversation is different from a suit: it's about length, sleeve width, and where the shoulder seam falls. Bring a photo of something you like and we'll tell you what's possible in the cloth you've chosen.

Shirts & trousers

Not everyone needs a full suit. A shirt cut to your neck and sleeve length, or a pair of trousers that actually sits where you want it, changes how the rest of your clothes look. These are quicker to make and a good way to try us out before committing to a suit.

Collar shape, cuff style, pocket or no pocket, how high the trouser sits — all of it is a choice, and we'll walk you through the ones that matter for your build.

Alterations & repairs

We also take in, let out, shorten and repair clothes you already own — a jacket that was never quite right, trousers that need a new length, a kaftan that needs the sleeves brought in. Bring the garment in and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth doing.

Sometimes the answer is no. We'd rather say so than take your money for a repair that won't hold.

How a commission works

Four steps, start to finish

01 — Message us on WhatsApp

Tell us what you need and roughly when you need it. If you have a date — a wedding, a ceremony, a trip — say so first, because that decides whether we can take the work. We'll reply with a time for you to come in.

02 — The measuring

You come to the shop. We measure, we look at cloth together, and we agree on the cut. This is the conversation that decides how the finished garment feels, so it's worth taking your time over. Bring the shoes you'll wear with it if you can — it changes the trouser length.

03 — The basted fitting

The garment comes back to you held together with temporary stitching, unfinished. You wear it, we look at how it moves when you walk, sit, reach and turn. Then we mark the changes. This is where a good suit becomes yours and a mediocre one stays mediocre.

04 — Collection

Finished, pressed, and yours. We'll ask you to try it once more before you leave, and if anything needs a small adjustment we'll do it. Your measurements stay on file for next time.

Questions we get asked

Five answers

How long does a suit take?

[Typical lead time] from the measuring, assuming two fittings. A kaftan is usually quicker than a suit because there's less structure to build, and alterations are quicker still.

If you have a date — a wedding, a naming ceremony, a trip — tell us at the very start. We'd rather tell you honestly on day one whether we can make it than take the work and rush the finish.

Can you work with cloth I bring?

Yes, and plenty of people do. Bring it in and we'll look at it together — how it hangs, how it presses, whether it has enough body for the cut you want. Some cloths are lovely but simply won't hold a structured shoulder, and it's better to know that before we cut.

If you'd rather choose from what's in the shop, come in and we'll show you what we have and talk through what suits the occasion.

Do I need an appointment?

For a fitting, yes. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll give you a time. It means the person who measures you is the person who cuts your cloth, and you're not sitting waiting while three other people are being served.

If you just want to look at cloth or ask a question, you're welcome to come in during opening hours — [Mon–Sat hours].

Do you make women's kaftans?

Yes — cut to measure, same process as everything else. The conversation is a little different from a suit: it's about length, sleeve width, where the shoulder seam falls, and how much room the cloth needs to drape properly when you move.

Plain, or with hand-work at the neckline and cuffs. Bring a photo of something you like and we'll tell you what's possible in the cloth you've chosen.

What does it cost?

[Pricing] — it depends on the cloth and how much hand-work is involved, so there's no single figure we can put on a page.

What we will do is give you a clear number before we start cutting. No surprises at collection. If the cloth you've chosen pushes it past what you want to spend, we'll say so and show you something else.
